Nevşehir WWTP, Turkey
The overall aim of this project is to accelerate Turkey's accession by enabling Turkey to achieve a high level of environmental protection and compliance with the EU directives concerning quality in the water sector.
The specific purpose of this project is to improve the environmental condition of the Karaağaç Creek and Kızılırmak River by reducing the pollution load through the construction of Nevşehir Wastewater Treatment Plant (Nevşehir WWTP).
The treatment plant will be an extended aeration activated sludge plant with physical and biological stages servicing a population of 125,000 persons and 9,000 industrial p.e. (stage one) The plant shall be designed for an expansion to cover 170,000 persons and 14,000 industrial p.e. (stage 2).
This plant includes many water retaining structures together with building type of structures listed below.
